It was just another example of how our clients are wowed by our
effort and creativity.
Steve Klein, President and Creative Director of Marketing
Breakthroughs, was invited on January 25 to make a presentation to
the sales and creative staff at Ottawa's most popular classic rock
station, 106.9 FM The Bear.
The purpose of the meeting was to present how Marketing
Breakthroughs' unconventional creative strategies could be applied
to the station and help it attract more business. However, one of
the main points on the agenda, our unconventional approach to
marketing, was put on display before the meeting even
started.
Prior to the meeting, Klein placed a bound workbook, case studies
of Marketing Breakthroughs' creative and chocolate bars inside a
gift box and wrapped it in bright red paper, complete with a giant
red bow. When The Bear staff arrived, they were
immediately intrigued by the mysterious present that sat on their
table and later commended Klein's ingenuity.
"The presentation was excellent," said Sales Representative Roly
Tink, who opened the gift. "If you want to get somebody's attention
in this business, you gotta stand out … and that's what
Steve Klein did."
This simple but eye-opening gesture set the tone for a very
productive one-hour meeting. Tink said he was very impressed and
hopes to meet again with Klein to talk about what Marketing
Breakthroughs can do for The Bear.
"He certainly set a benchmark," he said. "The next person that
comes in to speak with us is going to have a hard time topping what
Steve did, that's for sure."
